"It's a Doozey!" is an animated fine at piece I'm working on currently. I'm experimenting with combining styles and genres that generally are not combined, aligning with the theme of a cartoon being a work of fine art. As we find ways to make what we traditionally considered rare art easier and easier (because of better art products being more affordable, and art lessons available to anyone who wants them, there are WAY more expert traditional artists now than there ever were at any time in all of history) we expand what we consider to be fine art. For instance, extremely high end graphite work is now held in much higher esteem than ever before, selling for lots of money, and photography as fine art has really exploded. Can a cartoon be fine art? If so, is THIS cartoon fine art? You be the judge!
